Terrance, Herrington and Voghell, winners of night 1 of Canadian Super DIRT Weekend at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, ON – Friday, October 10, 2025 – Martin Belanger – The 6th edition of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend started on in fashion with over 140 cars in attendance on Artist in Residence Night.

Walter Hammond took the eatly lead in the 50-lap Fat Les Chips Stand Canadian Nationals 358-Modified Finale over Louie Jackson and Luke Whitteker. Samuel Lajoie brought the caution on lap 10. Jackson took the lead on the restart but caution was out with an incident in turn 2. Jackson pulled away over Hammond and Terrance. Yellow on lap 16 as Jackson kept the lead with Terrance moving up to second and Hammond in third. Jackson broke on lap 23 and brought caution. Terrance pulled away as a lot of position changes behind the leader with Whitteker in second and David Hebert in third. Terrance went on to the lead the final laps and grabbed his second win of the year, with his 5th finishing spot, Ryan Stabler secured a first Canadian Nationals Championships.

Raphael Gougeon was the leader in the 35-lap Sportsman feature over Brennan Moore and Karl Letendre. Jacob Nadeau brought the caution lap 7. Gougeon back in front as Travis Bruno moved to third. Gougeon was quick in front with Bruno moving past Moore for second on lap 15. Gougeon in lap traffic on lap 20 with Bruno getting closer as yellow was out with 13 laps to go. Gougeon kept first with Herrington moving to third. Herrington was on the move and passed Gougeon for the lead on lap 27 with Bruno fading to 6th. Herrington led the final laps to capture the win.

In the 35-lap Memorial Mini-Stock feature, Mathieu Voghell took the lead over Carl Gorry and Richard Belair in third. Sebastien Raymond Beauregard moved to third. Voghell pulling away as Raymond Beauregard moved to second. Yellow is back on lap 10. Voghell and Raymond Beauregard raced side by side for a few laps as Raymond Beauregard took the lead just before yellow slowed the field. On the restart, Voghell got the lead back as Christopher Proulx moved to third. Yellow was brought with 6 laps to go. Voghell led the final laps to get his first ever win.

The action continues tomorrow afternoon for day 2 of the Canadian Super DIRT Week as the Pro-Stock are added to the mix tomorrow, racing will start at 3:30pm.
