Cornwall, ON – Saturday, October 11, 2025 – Martin Belanger – The Canadian Super DIRT Weekend was back in action for day 2 on Splash Well Drilling with 4 divisions in action as the Weekend Warriors Mini-Stock Series ended tonight, 358-Modifieds, Sportsman and Pro-Stock joined the schedule.
The main event was the 50-lap Sportsman event as Bobby Herrington was the early leader as he led the first 12 laps as caution was out. On the restart, Herrington led the way with Dominick Merkley and Kaven Poliquin in third. The leaders got into lap traffic and Merkley got close to the leader as caution was out with 27 laps down. Herrington to the lead over Merkley and Poliquin. A good battle for second as Kaven Poliquin took second with a few laps to go. Herrington continues his solid run this weekend by getting a second win in a row.
Steve Bernier quickly moved away from the field in the 50-lap 358-Modified event as Raphael Gougeon and Carey Terrance were running in the top 3. Bernier reached lapped traffic on lap 8. Caution was out on lap 11 as Kyle Dingwall stopped outside of turn 3. On the restart, Bernier back in front with Carey Terrance now in second and Gougeon third. Bernier was back in traffic as Gougeon took back second and got into the back bumper of the leader. Gougeon used the outside lane and took the lead on lap 29. Mike Maresca joined the top 3 on lap 32. Caution was out with 5 laps to go. Gougeon was able to keep the lead and captured his first ever win in Cornwall.
In the 35-lap Pro-Stock feature, Kevin Fetterly took the early lead as Jonathan Levesque charged to second and went into battle for the lead. Both drivers swapped the lead for several laps around the track as Fetterly took back the front spot as Bastien Caron move to second. Fetterly moved high and Caron was able to take the lead on lap 12 Tommy Lizotte moved to second. Lap traffic was a factor as Lizotte took the lead on lap 18. Caution was out on lap 20. Burton Ward passed Caron for the lead as caution was out on lap 22. Caron back in the lead on the restart as Levesque was back in the mix running in third. A lot of lead changed with 5 laps to go as Jocelyn Roy moved to the lead. Yellow lights were out on lap 32. Roy led the final laps and scored the win.
The 35-lap Weekend Warriors Mini-Stock Series was the feature of the day with Sebastien Raymond Beauregard the early leader. A good battle for the lead between Raymond Beauregard and Travis Lamarche as caution was out on lap 4. Lamarche had a solid run as he took first on the restart. Lamarche in the lead with Adrian Black now in third. Lamarche went too high in turn 2 and Raymond Beauregard taking back in the lead. Martin Bernard took the lead but lost it was both Lamarche and Beauregard passed him. Beauregard had issues with the car on lap 29 losing his chances at the Weekend Warriors championship. Lamarche went on to lead the final laps and grabbed the event as Christopher Proulx won the weekend warriors series.
We are completing our 6th edition of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend presented by St.Lawrence Radiology with the 100-lap 358-Modified finale paying $10,000 to win, the PM Promotions Pro-Stock Series championship and Sportsman will make the schedule for tomorrow.
