Felix Roy wins the regular season finale at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, ON – Sunday, August 31, 2025 – Martin Belanger – It was championship night at Cornwall Motor Speedway on Embrun Auto Tech as the 2025 track champions were crowned along with the Lamoureux Pumping Series champion being named as well. A perfect weather greeted the 134 teams on hand along with a very nice crowd!

Ryan Stabler led the first lap in the 125-lap Fat Les Chip Stands Canadian Nationals as caution was out for Thomas Cook. A few cautions slowed the first 15 laps as Steve Bernier took the lead over Ryan Stabler and Lucas Fuller. The leaders got into heavy traffic by lap 25. Caution was out on lap 29 for Chris Ferguson. When racing resumed, Bernier in front with Louie Jackson Jr moving to third. By lap 40, the leaders were back in heavy traffic as Felix Roy was not in the top 5. Stabler used the outside lane retake the lead on lap 47. Stabler to the lead as Roy made his way to second spot. Lap traffic became a factor as Roy was challenging Stabler for the lead in these conditions. Roy was able to take the lead on Stabler by lap 70. The competition caution was out on lap 75. Once the race resumed, Roy in front of Stabler and Carey Terrance as both the top 2 went into battle for the lead. Roy pulled away as Terrance moved to second on lap 88 in heavy traffic. Terrance close to the leader with 15 laps to go. Roy the led final laps to capture the feature. By finishing 5th, Corey Wheeler captured his 4th title. 

In the PM Promotions Pro-Stock feature, Jocelyn Roy took the in the 40-lap event over Kevin Fetterly and Marc Peladeau. Caution was out on lap 12. Roy in front on the following green as Burton Ward and Fetterly were into battle with Ward taking it and move to second just before halfway as Marc Lalonde was now running in third. You could put a blanket on the top 3 as they raced together for several laps. Caution was out on lap 28. Roy back in the lead over Ward as Denis Gauvreau passed Lalonde for third. Roy led the final laps as Gauvreau was able to pass Ward as they completed the top 3. Marc Lalonde captured a third track championship in a row! 

Shane Pecore took the early lead in the 40-lap Lamoureux Pumping Sportsman Series Finale as Bobby Herrington moved up to second in the early stage of the race as Tristan Ladouceur in third. The leaders were in heavy traffic by lap 10 with Pecore taking a small lead on Herrington. Caution brought the field together on lap 26. Herrington surprised Pecore on the restart as Elliot Gamache moved to third. Herrington led the final laps to capture his second feature in a row, Tristan Ladouceur was crowned the 2025 track champion as Shane Pecore was the Lamoureux Pumping Series champion.

Adrian Black led the first lap in the Weekend Warriors Mini-Stock Series as a few cautions slowed the race at the start, Black had a good battle with Sebastien Raymond Beauregard as the points leader took the lead. Black was able to get the top spot again with Christopher Proulx in the mix. Raymond Beauregard led the final laps to get the win and was crowned the Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock Champion. 

Sarah-Anne Lauziere was the early leader in the 15-lap Novice Sportsman feature as Chris Wilson and Nicolas Mainville were behind him. Lauziere held the entire event to score her first feature win in Cornwall!

With the regular season ending tonight, some perfect attendance draws occurred as Emily Massy and Carl Gorry won certificates via a race suit from Velocita Racing, Antoine Dumouchel, Martin Bernard, Eric Roy and Danick Seguin won some extra dollars in the Mini-Stock from Sylvain Lauwers and Eric Coco Villeneuve. In the Lamoureux Pumping Series, Sylvain Dupuis won the Hoosier Tire, Dylan Moore, Trey Ladouceur, Brandon Beauregard, Marco McCarthy and Tristan Ladouceur. 

It is Fireball Enduro time! Next weekend we will have the Fireball Enduro, a 2-day event, a great event for the family.
