Cornwall, Ont – Tuesday, July 5, 2022 – Martin Belanger – The busiest week of the year continues at Cornwall Motor Speedway as the Lavergne family is prepared to host 2 shows in 4 nights as 2 very popular classes will be town with the Big Blocks on Thursday and 360 Sprints on Sunday evening.
Canadian Big Block Series is in town this Thursday !
This will probably be our biggest event of the regular season with the Canadian Big Block Series in town with a 75-lap event paying $10,000 to win! Already some big names such as Matt Sheppard, Mat Williamson, Erick Rudolph, Mike Mahaney, Tim Fuller and Ryan Arbuthnot, have confirmed their presence along with several drivers from Quebec such as David Hébert, Steve et Francois Bernier, Michael Parent, Jeremy and Felix Roy, Francois Bellemare, Yan Bussiere, Dominic Dufault, Paul St-Sauveur and Mathieu Desjardins will be town with nearly 35 modifieds are expected. The Sportsman and Novice Sportsman will be on the card as well for this program.
Racing will start at 7pm with pit gates opening at 3pm and general admission at 5pm, General admission prices are set at $40 for adults, 10$ for kids between 6 and 16 and free for 5 years and under. Pit admission is set for 45$. Reminder to arrive early and get the chance to meet and greet with Sandy and Gavin MacFarlane along with Daylon Ezard, behind the grandstands between 5 and 5:30pm.
Southern Ontario Sprints + Race for the Cure Sportsman Series this Sunday!
Fans looking for a different night of racing will be served on Sunday July 10 with the Southern Ontario Sprints in town, this is only chance in 2022 to see 360 sprints in Cornwall. The second round of the Race for the Cure Sportsman series is also on the card with a solid field of Sportsman expected, the Frank Belair Mini-Stock Memorial is also on the card as the Mod-Lite will be in town as well. The 358-Modified and Pro-Stock will have a night off.
