Terrance, Pecore, Harmer Jr, Gorry, winners on night 2 of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont. – Saturday, October 10, 2026 – Martin Belanger — Gauvreau Top-Soil presented Night 2 of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend sponsored by St-Lawrence Radiology. Three champions were crowned tonight with the Fat Les Chip Stands Canadian Nationals, Battle on the Border Pro-Stock and Battle for a Cure Mini-Stock ending along with a special $2,500 to win Sportsman event. Over 150 cars were in attendance.

Carey Terrance was the early leader in the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals Finale; Terrance led the first 7 laps when caution was out. On the restart, Terrance was quick in front with Ryan Stabler moving to second and Louie Jackson Jr third. Mathieu Desjardins caught fire and yellow was out on lap 10. Terrance in front with William Racine moving to second as both leaders were in heavy traffic as Louie Jackson slowed the field down. Traffic was a factor on lap 29 as Racine was able pass Terrance for the lead in turn 2. Terrance did a slide job to Racine and took back the lead on lap 36. Caution was out with one lap to go making a green-white-checker finish. Terrance went on to lead the final passage and captured the $4,000 check with Ryan Stabler being crowned the Fat Les Chips Stand Canadian Nationals champion for the 2026 season!

The Battle on the Border Pro-Stock Series Finale saw Bastien Caron taking the lead over Tommy Lizotte and Luc Biron as caution was out on lap 2 for Stephane Lebrun. On the restart, Lizotte, took the lead over Caron. Lizotte pulled away from the field with Caron and Jocelyn Roy following the leader. Lap traffic was a factor as Caron got to the back of the leader and lost control with caution coming out on lap 16. Sid Harmer surprised Tommy Lizotte on a lap 24 restart. Caution was out on lap 26. Harmer led the final laps to capture the win and also the Battle on the Border Pro-Stock Feature.

Normand Hamel was the leader in the 50-lap Sportsman event over Shane Pecore and Travis Bruno. The feature picked up momentum as the leaders got with heavy traffic as caution was out on lap 22. A good start for Travis Bruno who moved up to second and challenged Hamel for the lead. Bruno had an issue with his car as he was running second and brought caution on lap 28. Pecore surprised Hamel on lap 32 for the lead as a lot of battles were going on behind the leader in the top 5 with Trey Ladouceur in second as Bruno slowed the field down with 10 laps to go. Pecore led the final laps to collect the $2,500 check.

The Battle for a Cure Mini-Stock Series was the last event of the evening with Carl Gorry leading the way as Travis Lamarche was able to pass him on a restart on lap 8. Gorry and Lamarche exchanged the lead Gorry led the final laps to go and win the feature with Sebastien Raymond-Beauregard winning the Race for a Cure Mini-Stock Series.
