2026 Season Preview: Strong Competition Expected in the Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock Division!

Cornwall, Ont. – Thursday, April 30, 2026 – Martin Belanger — With the month of May just around the corner, anticipation is building as another exciting season gets ready to begin at Cornwall Motor Speedway! As in previous years, we will preview each of the speedway’s regular divisions, starting with the always competitive Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock class.

A strong car count is once again expected in the entry-level division, with most of last season’s top 20 in points set to return, along with several familiar faces who have enjoyed success in past seasons.

The 2025 campaign saw Sebastien Raymond Beauregard emerge as one of the season’s biggest surprises after committing to a full-time effort and capturing the track championship with an impressive 72-point advantage over Christopher Proulx. Emily Massy also turned heads with major progress throughout the season, finishing third in points while earning her first career victory.

Several other drivers are aiming to climb even higher in the standings this year, including Travis Lamarche, Carl Gorry, Antoine Dumouchel, Adrian Black, and Martin Bernard. Returning contenders Pierre Picard and Brandon McMillan are also expected to be serious threats in the championship battle.

Reigning Rookie of the Year Karl Lecuyer will headline a talented group that includes Michel Lecuyer, Danick Seguin, Richard Belair, David Bertrand Falker, and Valaire Lecuyer, all looking to improve their performances in 2026. Drivers such as Eric Roy, Steven Quesnel, and Christian Charbonneau will also be aiming to solidify their place inside the top 10.

One of the major highlights of the season will once again be the Battle for a Cure Mini-Stock Series, featuring four events on the 2026 schedule, including a lucrative $1,000-to-win race on July 7 and a total points fund worth $4,000. The series is expected to attract top Mini-Stock competitors not only from Cornwall, but also from Mohawk International Raceway, Brockville Ontario Speedway, Brighton Speedway, as well as several Quebec tracks, potentially pushing the field close to 30 cars.

The Mini-Stock division will compete on 15 regular-season programs, in addition to three major fall events during RaceFest and the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend.

With a deep field filled with talent, experience, and rising stars, all signs point toward another exciting season for the Ricks Ranch Mini-Stock division. The action gets underway on Opening Night, Sunday, May 17, with a 25-lap feature event counting toward the Battle for a Cure Series.
