Cornwall, ON – Saturday, May 17, 2025 – Martin Belanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway has announced the cancellation of the highly anticipated World of Outlaws Sprint Car Invasion event scheduled for this weekend. The decision, described as one of the most difficult of promoter Raymond Lavergne’s career, comes after significant rainfall and an unfavorable weather forecast for the remainder of the weekend.
Despite extensive discussions with World of Outlaws officials, rescheduling the event to Monday was not a viable option due to their tightly booked calendar. Currently, no alternate dates are available for 2025.
As a result, the Fat Les Chip Stand Canadian Nationals Modified Series portion of the event has been postponed and will now take place on Sunday, June 1st. This race will run in conjunction with the Ovide Doiron Memorial, featuring a 40-lap Modified feature and a top prize of $4,040 to the winner.
