2023 Season Preview :  Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman & Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, April 30, 2023 – Martin Belanger – We are gearing closer to our 54th season opener at the speedway being 3 weeks away! We continue our season preview with the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman and also the Fun Zone Party Inflatables Novice Sportsman.

We will crown a new champion in the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman division as both Shane Pecore and Ryan Stabler will not be in contention as Pecore decided to focus on a big event only schedule while Stabler has moved on to the 358-Modifieds, this will open up the class a lot as there are still a lot of serious contenders in the division starting by the Cyr brothers Gabriel and Justin. Gabriel finished third last year in the points and will be a favourite to capture the crown has Justin will probably be a contender for a top 5 in the points. Veteran driver Tyler Givogue will also be one to watch after finishing 4th in the ranking. Another young talent that will surely move up the ranks will be Tristan Ladouceur as well as Fire Swamp and Thomas Cook. Former track champion Justin Lalancette will want to come back strong this season just like Justin Desrosiers. Depending on their plans for 2023, William Racine, Robert Delormier and Cedric Gauvreau could become serious contenders as well if they commit to a full season. Other veteran drivers such as Adam Rozon and Dan Jalbert will also want their share of the pie.

Another exciting 2023 calendar with the return of the lucrative Race for the Cure Sportsman Series boosting the richest points funds in Canada with $10,000 up for grab! This series will be in action during 4 nights on May 21, July 2, August 6 and September 3rd. Each winner will receive a guaranteed spot during the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend festivities, with over 65 cars in the last 2 divisions, this will become a coveted incentive! Another big night on July 16 with the Summer Sizzler Sportsman Showdown with the 50-lap feature winner getting $3,000! Sportsman will also be in action during the weeknight shows with 40-lap features on July 13 and August 24. With so much money on the table, we can bet that it will attract the best drivers from Ontario and Quebec during the whole summer!

The Novice Sportsman Fun Zone Party Inflatables will bring several new and upcoming faces including Skylar Ladouceur who is making the jump in the Sportsman. Trey Ladouceur will also be a regular in the division, Ladouceur was successful in the karting ranks and cut his teeth at the end of the 2022 season in a Sportsman. Nicolas Mainville and Sylvain Dupuis are amongst new faces in the division as well as we could see the likes of Daylon Ezard, Marco McCarthy, Mario Dupuis and Ty David

It will be another great season in the Sportsman and also the beginning of future stars in the Novice Sportsman as next week we will attack the final class, the JLB Heating and Cooling 358-Modifieds.
