Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, April 23, 2023 – Martin Belanger – We continue our 2023 season preview with one of the most popular categories at Cornwall Motor Speedway, the Pro-Stocks!
Like the Mini-Stock, the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock division will have new faces and a new champion will be crowned as Bruno Richard left the class after a very successful 2022. New names and some former competitors are being added to the mix for next summer.
Marc Lalonde will start the season as being the favorite to win the track championship after finishing second to Richard last year. Lalonde had 3 feature wins to his credit, a plateau that he will want to surpass this season. Other drivers will want a share of the wins and a chance at the championship, Roch Aubin in car #4 along with Denis Gauvreau, who has a very ambitious 2023 schedule will give a good try to Lalonde. Former track champion, Jocelyn Roy will also be one driver to watch as Eric Jean-Louis, Thomas McDonald and Burton Ward, will also be some drivers that will be in the front.
Some of the new faces that are joining ranks will be Joel Renaud, Eric Bechard along with 2 former drivers in Dan Desnoyers and Marc Peladeau.
With a dozen programs during the regular schedule that will include the Clyde Sligner Pro-Stock series at 3 occasions and the Farnham Ale Lager Canadian Series twice, the field of cars will be great all season long!
Many great battles are expected in the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock as several stories will develop throughout the summer. Next week, we will talk about the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman division.
